Irene Teske BC’s Wildlife Officer of the Year

HCTF project leader Irene Teske was recently awarded the Wildlife Officer of the Year award by the Province of BC.  Irene works for the Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations and has been an HCTF grant recipient stretching all the way back to 2001 when she was assessing fisher reintroductions in the East Kootenays. Since then, Irene has worked on a variety of HCTF projects, including inventorying mountain goats and conserving bighorn sheep winter range. Congratulations Irene on this well-deserved award!
